100% Polyester - Forever 21 vs. Michael Kors?

Why does a 100% polyester shirt from Michael Kors and all the other top designers cost .80+, when you can go to Forever 21 and buy something similar for under ? Is it the stitching? I can’t imagine that it’s just the "name". Thoughts?
